Expected Outcome: Successful proposals will contribute to updated EU Bioeconomy Strategy, the Clean Industrial Deal, the European Chemical Industry Action Plan and the upcoming Circular Economy Act. The application of innovative solutions for vertical space use allows for a more efficient use of the existing built environment [1] and provides green spaces and/or affordable housing in neighbourhoods [1] . Scope: The increased demand for housing and thus land can conflict with the need to preserve and restore nature and biodiversity in our neighbourhoods. Rethinking the way we use existing buildings and applying a smart and efficient use of space is thus crucial to limit urban sprawl. There is therefore a need to develop solutions that make use of the under-used and un-used vertical space above our streets and buildings. Urban vertical farming, community gardens on rooftops, vertical extensions and other alternative multifunctional structures making use of these spaces might be suitable solutions to high-quality, sustainable [1] and affordable housing and green spaces while limiting land use. Site works to restore the headwaters of the Greenlands mire system within the Purbeck Heaths National Nature Reserve, as part of a wider delivery programme led by the Dorset Peatland Partnership. The aim is to secure peat forming habitats, improve peat condition, slow flow rates and maximise Carbon capture within currently degraded mire systems. This will be achieved using a range of sensitive restoration techniques that are described in more detail in the attached restoration plans and project specifications. Activities include creating peat bunds and in-channel dams, mulching molinia vegetation and sallow tree removal. Contractors will be chosen based on capacity, capability, relevant experience including of working in sensitive habitats on protected sites, proposed solution and cost. The North York Moors National Park Authority is seeking an experienced Consultant to work with its Head of Farming and Land Management and Nature Recovery Project Development Manager to scope and prepare a pipeline of practical interventions that will reduce emissions, enhance carbon sequestration, and strengthen climate resilience in Bransdale and Raisdale, with broader landscape-scale benefits across the North York Moors National Park.

Tree works, including but not limited to felling, reducing and clearing, to be carried out during business hours. This does not include emergency or out of hours works. The contractor must possess, maintain, and have access to all necessary equipment to effectively and safely execute tree work during business hours. This includes, but is not limited to: Vehicles - Robust 4x4 vehicles suitable for park access (with appropriate clearance/permissions), fully insured and equipped with secure storage and lighting. Chainsaw - A range of professional chainsaws(ground and climbing saws) with appropriate guide bars for large and small material, and spare parts. Access, Climbing - Full set of specialist climbing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including harnesses, ropes, friction devices, and emergency descent/rescue equipment. Lifting, Rigging - Rigging equipment (slings, blocks, ropes, port-a-wraps) and winches (vehicle-mounted or manual) for securing and controlling large/fallen timber. Lighting - High-intensity, self-powered lighting towers/generators for safe work visibility during night-time operations. Welfare, Safety - Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all crew (helmets, visors, chainsaw trousers, boots, hearing protection), mobile welfare facilities, and traffic management signage/cones. Clearance - Woodchipper and/or tipper truck/trailer capacity suitable for immediate removal or large volumes of timber and brushwood.

The goal of this NOFO is to fund veterinary diagnostic laboratories in the Vet-LIRN network for grants associated with projects and equipment. Specific objectives include: 1. Supporting the development, adaptation, or verification/validation of new methods associated with animal food issues or antimicrobial resistance. 2. Short-term surveillance or monitoring efforts aligned with the CVM mission. 3. Supporting equipment for testing or developing tests associated with animal food-related issues or antimicrobial resistance, including those for emerging technologies. 4. Developing projects related to antimicrobial stewardship, in alignment with CVM's key initiatives in this area. 5. Contributing as part of Vet-LIRN's AMR monitoring program, including sequencing isolates. 6. Supporting work associated with One Health, including emerging diseases such as COVID-19, when funding is available.
