Beckingham Camp_Electrical Intake Upgrades to support DNO upgrades
The work to be delivered under this contract broadly comprises 2 elements: 1. Works that NGED require their customer to complete on their behalf, which is a stipulation of their quote, dated 14 August 2025 (Appendix 03 - Quotation). 2. Upgrade work required to be undertaken on the existing site electrical distribution infrastructure. 3. A general plan of the works (NGED drg 5645691) to be undertaken by NGED is included at Appendix A. This shows the main electrical components referred to in this scope, their locations, cable routes etc. It is included here for information only. Scope of Work Description The works required to facilitate uplift of the MIC comprise the following: 1. Undertake excavation / trenching (incl back-filling), to their specification, to allow NGED to install 7 X 600mm² AL solidal (LV) cables between the site boundary and the new site intake switchroom. 2. Design and construct a new site intake switchroom to include a new LV intake switchboard and requisite earthing. 3. Design and install inter-connecting LV cables between the new site intake switchroom and the existing (former) site intake switchroom (to provide a back-feed to the camp). 4. Provide builderswork in connection comprising: a. A new base for the new LV intake switchboard. b. A new GRP substation enclosure. c. New lighting, small power and background heating for the substation. d. Excavation / trenching (incl back-filling) for the new inter-connecting LV cables. 5. New handover information and documentation. 6. Provide temporary power for the Camp during the shutdowns.
