The overall purpose of the Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP) is to assist experienced nonprofit organizations, state and local governments, and public housing authorities in undertaking comprehensive programs that make safety and functional home modification repairs and renovations to meet the needs of low-income seniors. The goal of the home modification program is to enable low-income elderly persons to remain in their homes through low-cost, low barrier, high impact home modifications to reduce older adults" risk of falling, improve general safety, increase accessibility, and to improve their functional abilities in their home. This will enable older adults to remain in their homes, that is, to "age in place," rather than move to nursing homes or other assisted care facilities.

The NPRC will serve as the nation"s go‐to source for trusted information, real‐time help, community capacity‐building, and peer support and community-based resources that promote independence and participation. The NPRC will advance independence, informed choice, and full participation in community life for individuals living with paralysis. The NPRC will improve the health and quality of life of people living with paralysis by reducing environmental, social, and systemic barriers to health and community living. The program will also strengthen community capacity through competitive subawards and tracks progress through performance measures and a public dashboard.

The Medical Student Education (MSE) Program provides support to public medical schools in the top quartile of states with a projected primary care provider shortage to expand or support education for medical students preparing to become physicians.

The overarching goal of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) and its companion opportunities is to establish the Precision Medicine with AI: Integrating Imaging with Multimodal Data (PRIMED-AI) Program to support development of innovative, reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable multimodal AI-based clinical decision support (CDS) tools. PRIMED-AI CDS tools are based on the integration of clinical imaging with other types of multimodal health data to enhance care for patients with a wide range of health conditions. The PRIMED-AI Program seeks to catalyze the adoption of AI-based CDS tools into clinical workflows to enable novel personalized medicine strategies that address significant health challenges. The purpose of this NOFO is to solicit applications for the creation of a Validation Center to serve as a dedicated hub for the comprehensive evaluation and characterization of AI-enabled, image-based, multimodal CDS tools developed by the PRIMED-AI Consortium, to ensure these tools are reliable, reproducible, and generalizable. The Validation Center will focus on verification, validation, interoperability, and uncertainty quantification to comprehensively characterize performance of the CDS tools developed by the program. The core functions of the Validation Center will involve the systematic validation of PRIMED-AI Consortium deliverables, including those emerging from award recipients under the Playbook, Data-to-Model Academic-Industrial Partnerships, and Model-to-Clinic NOFOs.

In response to a longstanding congressional mandate (P.L. 98-619, Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education and Related Agencies Appropriation Act, 1985), NIMHD invites applications from eligible institutions to establish a national coordinating center (CC) for the Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMIs) initiative. The RCMI CC will coordinate activities across funded RCMI U54 Centers, prospectively evaluate the overall RCMI program, and serve as a national resource to help these centers achieve their primary goals. The RCMI CC will be responsive to requests generated by RCMI site key personnel, NIMHD, NIH, the scientific community, and the general public.

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to support the next 5-year award period of the Clinician-Scientist Transdisciplinary Aging Research Coordinating Center (Clin-STAR CC), whose mission is to serve as a national resource for clinician-investigators across specialties and disciplines who are focusing their careers on aging research. This NOFO intends to build upon NIA's substantial investments to foster the development of clinician-scientists across specialties and disciplines. The specific goals of this initiative are to convey scientific and research knowledge on aging research; foster networking and collaboration between clinician-scientist leaders in aging research and clinician-investigators across specialties and disciplines who wish to focus on aging research; provide mentoring and career development support for emerging clinician-scientists committed to pursuing aging research in their clinical specialty or discipline; and advance interdisciplinary research projects in aging. Ultimately, the Clin-STAR CC is intended to provide a multi-faceted national research platform leading to improved patient-centered care for older adults across specialties and disciplines.

This notice solicits applications for practical, data-driven, and scalable projects that support States, Tribal communities, healthcare systems, or community-based organizations in collecting, analyzing, and reporting information related to access to medical forensic examinations for women and girl survivors of sexual assault. Projects funded under this initiative should identify barriers, service gaps, workforce shortages, geographic gaps, wait times, and system-level challenges impacting women and girl survivor access to timely, forensic healthcare services.

OPA plans to solicit applications for projects to carry out evaluations of teen pregnancy prevention (TPP) approaches that would make significant contributions to preventing teen pregnancy. OPA intends to make available an estimated $2.2 million for up to nine (9) grant awards for a period of up to three (3) years. OPA will consider evaluation projects that explore new questions in teen pregnancy prevention that improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of these programs and services. These grants are for projects that can be conducted within two to three years, such as secondary data analyses or research using existing program and evaluation data, research, or administrative data.

The Office of Population Affairs (OPA) announces the anticipated availability of funds for Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 grants under the authority of Title X of the Public Health Service Act, Section 1001 (42 U.S.C. §300).This notice solicits applications for projects to provide Title X services throughout the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Guam, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the U.S. Outlaying Islands (Midway, Wake, et al.), the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated State of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau (hereafter, States). OPA intends to make available approximately up to $257 million for up to 90 grant awards for a period of up to five (5) years. By offering counseling and education to improve individuals" optimal health outcomes, Title X promotes the level of health literacy necessary to support informed consent across the reproductive lifespan. For example, endometriosis often goes undiagnosed for years because symptoms such as severe menstrual pain or irregular bleeding are frequently normalized or minimized. Body literacy counseling helps patients recognize that these experiences are not "normal" features of womanhood, but potential indicators of an underlying condition, prompting earlier discussion with providers, timely diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and improved long-term reproductive and overall health outcomes.Likewise, foundational knowledge of reproductive physiology enables patients and couples to recognize early signs of dysfunction, seek timely evaluation, and participate meaningfully in care decisions. Persistent gaps in reproductive knowledge highlight the need for such education. For example, a survey conducted for OPA in 2020 found that only 50% of women and 38% of men know that a woman"s ovaries do not keep producing new eggs until menopause (https://opa.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/2021-01/fertility-knowledge-survey-findings-exec-summary-2020.pdf). By supporting body literacy education alongside evidence-based evaluation and treatment of chronic disease, Title X services can help patients move beyond symptom-focused care toward informed, preventive, and restorative approaches to reproductive health.These efforts align with HHS"s focus on addressing the root causes of chronic illnesses by targeting conditions that affect reproductive health and fertility. By promoting strategies that support education and counseling on reproductive health goals, reduce chronic disease, and assist individuals seeking to achieve healthy pregnancies, the Title X Program strengthens American families, individuals, and communities.This notice solicits applications from public and private nonprofit entities to establish and operate voluntary Title X projects. These projects include a broad range of effective and acceptable services, including pregnancy testing and counseling, basic infertility services, sexually transmitted infection (STI) services (such as HIV prevention education, counseling, testing, and referral), health literacy, reproductive goals counseling to increase optimal health outcomes, and other preconception health services. Title X services also help address and provide referrals for health conditions that affect fertility, including endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and uterine fibroids in women, as well as low sperm count, low sperm motility, low testosterone, and erectile dysfunction in men. OPA seeks a broad competition for Title X grant awards and are interested in innovative strategies to address chronic disease; reduce overmedicalization by strengthening approaches focused on underlying behavioral and lifestyle factors of health and evidence-based practices such as fertility-awareness based methods; promote health and body literacy; advance reproductive goals counseling for all clients; and support family formation.All activities funded under this announcement must be in compliance with the requirements of the Title X statute, legislative mandates, and regulations. Modification 000003: The purpose of this modification is to revise NOFO Part 1. Section I.A.1 is revised to correct the Topic Area 1b cost share to 20% and Section IV.C.2 is revised to delete the Environmental Considerations Summary and Environmental Impact Volume from the Summary of Application Requirements table. This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) will seek proposals for specific research and development (R&D) projects to improve recovery efficiency from unconventional oil and natural gas reservoirs and to advance technologies for the treatment of flowback and produced water from oil and natural gas production operations. Despite increasing energy for demand, recovery efficiency for oil and natural gas from unconventional reservoirs can average less than 10 percent. This NOFO will enable rapid field deployment of a variety of novel technologies and processes related to improving primary and enhanced recovery with the goal of significantly improving resource recovery and accelerating industry uptake. This NOFO will also support the field testing and validation of water treatment technologies of produced water from oil and natural gas production operations to avoid deep well injection and potential issues with induced seismicity and interaction with underground sources of drinking water.
