As part of Central Government's Warm Homes Programme, SCC submitted an expression of interest to DESNZ in December 2024 for the successor fund to HUG 2 called the Warm Homes - Local Grant (WHLG) which was successful and allocated a record sum for SCC of £13.9 million of grant funding, to be utilised across the next three financial years.

WP15.03 Old Oak Common Lane (OOCL) - Highways (incl. Utilities) & IEP Depot Temp. / Permanent Road & Retaining Wall Scope of Works: Working in partnership with HS2, the BBVS Joint Venture is responsible for the final design, construction, and commissioning of the HS2 Old Oak Common station in West London. The station is the London interchange station of the UK's second high-speed railway. It will be located on the site of the now demolished Old Oak Common Railway Depot, bounded by the Crossrail Depot to the north, the London Overground West London line to the east, the Intercity Express Programme Depot to the south and Old Oak Common Lane to the west. HS2, Great Western Main Line (GWML), Crossrail and Heathrow Express services will be served by the new Old Oak Common Station. HS2 Old Oak Common Station will provide a state-of-the-art gateway to London and the wider area, with efficient intermodal interchange with rail, taxi, cycle and pedestrian modes. Old Oak Common Lane highways package involves all the lowering, widening and realignment of the Old Oak Common Lane highway, inclusive of temporary / permanent access routes, removal of redundant utilities, installation of final utilities and civils works along Old Oak Common Lane and Wells House Road (incl. retaining walls). BBVS is seeking to contract under NEC3 Option A with a contractor to deliver Old Oak Common Lane highways package of works that includes the following elements in summary: i. IEP Depot temporary & permanent access route (incl. retaining wall construction / realignment) ii. Old Oak Common Lane highway lowering, widening & realignment (incl. street furniture, lighting and signage) iii. Removal of all redundant utilities within the highway iv. Installation of final utilities and telecoms including but not limited to clean water, foul sewer, storm sewer, non-contestable telecoms and UKPN works v. Old Oak Common Lane / Wells House Road civil engineering works including but not limited to new retaining walls and remediation of existing retaining walls The scope of the subcontract includes but not limited to: A. The provision of all necessary People, Equipment, Plant and Materials (temporary or permanent) to deliver RIBA 5 Design, mock-ups, temporary works, fabrication, installation, and certification of the associated works B. The Subcontractor will need to demonstrate that they have the capabilities and resources to deliver the size and nature of this project in a rail environment. C. The Subcontractor will be required to produce & submit 2D/3D designs in native dgn files, working on projectwise and other software platforms. D. The Subcontractor will be required to liaise with organisations such as Transport for London, Crossrail Depot, Network Rail and Thames Water and other project stakeholders. Programme It is currently anticipated that the site works will be predominantly completed between Q1 2028 and Q1 2032, with a preconstruction

Kier Transportation intends to engage experienced and qualified Civil contractors for the construction of full civils work package, including but not limited to, earthworks, drainage, ducting and kerbing across various areas on Schemes 1 & 2 of the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine Scheme. NC2A is the North Chilterns to Aylesbury section of C23, a part of the HS2 project managed by the EKFB Joint Venture. We are seeking a specialist subcontractor to undertake the following works within the NC2A section: The Subcontract Works includes for the provision of all management, labour, materials, plant and equipment, supervision, and other resources necessary and ancillary to safely complete the construction and handover of Highways/ footpaths works, as described in the specifications, drawings, HS2 standards Requirements and local authority specifications. The Subcontractor will be responsible for the temporary works design and temporary works construction as further detailed in this document. The subcontractor will be responsible for all permanent and temporary works relating to the Highways realignment unless otherwise excluded. The works included as part of this scope to be delivered by the subcontractor are: - Site clearance including Removal of existing drainage, kerbs, footpath, highway pavement, verges within permanent design location. - Earthworks including excavation to formation, soft spot treatment if required. - Drainage system, including temporary excavations, supply and installation of chambers, gullies, headwalls, carrier drains, filter and fin drains, fin drains, ditches, hydro brake system, non-return valve connection to existing drainage systems. - Service ducts: including supply and installation of service ducts, connections and chambers. - Road formation (asphalt surfacing by others): this includes supply and installation of geotextile separation materials highways and footways kerbs. The ongoing supply and delivery of tools, equipment, workwear and other items for the use of the Open Spaces and Maintenance teams. All items ordered would need to be delivered to the Taunton Town Council Depot location (TA1 5LY). Items would be ordered on an as needed basis and there would not be any regularly scheduled requirements. Full documentation, including product safety information, order conformation and delivery notes would be required for every order that is placed.
