→1) NCHIP ($59,000,000)- This program aims to improve the nation's safety and security by enhancing the quality, completeness, and accessibility of criminal history record information; and by ensuring the nationwide implementation of criminal justice and non-criminal justice background check systems. 2) NCHIP SF BSCA ($40,000,000) - This program furthers the DOJ's mission to reduce violent crime and address gun violence by improving the accuracy, utility, and interstate accessibility of criminal-history and related records in support of national record systems and their use for name- and fingerprint-based criminal history background checks. This program was developed to implement Title III, Division B (3) - Appropriations outlined in the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (Pub. L. 117-159). 3) NARIP ($24,000,000)- This program provides grants to assist states, state court systems and tribal governments in updating the FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) with certain mental health, protection and restraining order, domestic violence conviction, and other criminal history record information which may disqualify individuals from purchasing or possessing firearms. BJS coordinates its work on the NICS program with the efforts of the National Criminal History Improvement Program (NCHIP) to ensure that funded state and state court system programs are complementary and consistent with the overall goal of improving the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of state and national criminal records.

Tender$3.4MCloses 2026-09-21ESPIT & SoftwareData Transmission Network (DTN) HS2
→The HS2 Data Transmission Network (DTN) will provide network transport services and specific central service functions necessary for the reliable operation of trains on HS2. The DTN shall fulfil the following high-level requirements: • Provision of a Critical network for safety-related connected sub-systems: DTN-Critical • Provision of a Protected network (DTN-P), distinct from the critical DTN network, connecting non-safety-related subsystems. • Provision of a secure, geo-redundant external interface via a De-Militarized Zone (DMZ). DTN acts as the aggregator for internet and cloud connectivity from its DMZ. The DTN DMZ also acts as the interface to Network Rail to connect HS2 rail systems to Conventional Rail services hosted in Network Rail's telecoms network. • Provision of the DMZ, including central compute and servers, protected by internal and external security perimeters. • Provision of a Master Clock System, providing accurate clocking internally and to connected subsystems with Precision Time Protocol (PTP) with boundary clock functionality, Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE), and Network Time Protocol (NTP). • Provision of other services include: DHCP, DNS, AAA authentication, Network Management System (NMS) for supplied operational systems. • Provision of optical and electrical SFP (where required) to facilitate the above inter-connectivity.

Large-Scale Photonic Quantum Computing Platform Technologies
→Expected Outcome: This action will establish a strategic European initiative to develop scalable, modular, and interoperable photonic quantum computing platforms. Proposals for this topic are expected to address and provide credible solutions to at least two major technical roadblocks currently limiting the advancement of photonic quantum computing such as: The lack of deterministic, high-efficiency photonic entanglement and loss-tolerant architectures suitable for fault-tolerant scaling The absence of a standardised, integrated control stack combining photonic hardware, firmware, and system software with reliable benchmarking across platforms Project results are expected to contribute to the following expected outcomes: By 2028, demonstration of a photonic NISQ processor with ≥100 photonic qubits, integrating deterministic single-photon sources, low-loss waveguides, on-chip detectors, and a firmware stack (scheduler, controller, compiler), validated via hardware-agnostic benchmarks and hybrid photonic-HPC applications demonstrating classical-quantum crossover By 2030, delivery of a full-stack, high-connectivity photonic quantum computer, with modular scalability, integrated…
Grant$11.6MCloses 2026-09-30EUResearchDecode the Immunoscience of age-related diseases
→Expected Impact: The action under this topic is expected to achieve the following impacts: Accelerate EU access to more cost-effective interventions in an increasingly ageing population by identifying personalised treatment approaches for elderly-onset immune diseases. Decrease disease risk later in life by defining specific prevention strategies based on ageing biomarkers and risk factors. Halt age-associated disease exacerbation by the identification of predictive and digital biomarkers that can stratify patients for early intervention. Improve quality of life for healthy individuals and patients by preventing further health decline, avoiding escalating care costs, and properly stratifying individuals earlier in the diagnostic pathway. Accelerate adoption of innovative diagnostic, preventative, and therapeutic strategies, strengthening the EU’s position as a healthcare innovator. Evaluate digital biomarker as potential regulatory endpoints in the ultimate goal to develop medicines for ‘healthy ageing’. Integrate fragmented research efforts by bringing together health industry sectors and stakeholders to develop clinical and multi-omics data integration capabilities. Enable new…
