The Ministry of Defence requires the sourcing and provision of a comprehensive range of suitable aircrew boots for personnel in training and operational environments across rotary and fixed wing platforms. The requirement encompasses boots suitable for both hot and temperate climatic conditions, with specific dimensional constraints to ensure compatibility with restricted cockpit spaces on designated aircraft platforms. Key Requirement Parameters Climatic Coverage: Boots must be available for both temperate and hot weather environments, capable of operating across temperature ranges from -6°C to +45°C with relative humidity levels between 43% and 100%. Sizing and Accessibility: Items must be available to meet protected characteristics as highlighted in the Public Sector Equality Duty review. Sizing must accommodate the 5-95 percentile range (height 150cm to 200cm, chest 80cm to 120cm) plus outsize provision. Shoe sizes must range from 3 to 15 with outsize availability. The scope of works comprises the provision of all necessary labour, plant and equipment to undertake pile cropping activities as required across LTC - Kent Roads. The works will include the safe and controlled cropping of piles to the required cut-off levels in accordance with project requirements, specifications and relevant health and safety standards. To ensure suitable student jackets are available for winter delivery in the future, the currently held ME jackets will be replaced with a more appropriate alternative identified through subject matter expert guidance. Asset list and installation requirements: 9 x Crossroads using 6mm catenary wire attached with specially designed anchor plates, to be tested yearly by a CFA registered company, installed to above regulation height of 5.6m. To provide a vehicle/transportable event space, fully set up for the Recruitment team to deliver student engagement activities. The vehicle/transportable event space will have the correct university graphics (details provided by Teesside University) and be delivered to site by the company. The vehicle/transportable event space will not be on a permanent site and must be easily transportable to destinations around the UK. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). CRH intends to appoint suppliers capable of delivering a comprehensive, end-to-end accommodation inventory solution. This will include, but not be limited to, the sourcing and procurement of goods, appropriate storage, coordinated delivery, assembly and installation where required, decommissioning of existing items where applicable and the responsible disposal or recycling of waste packaging, furniture and white goods in accordance with environmental and regulatory standards.
