The Humberside Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) is seeking tender submissions from suitably experienced companies who understand the local demographic and geography to provide a reliable and successful service for the services described in Section 2 of the ITT document. (Please download) The OPCC is inviting suitably qualified and experienced organisations to submit proposals for the delivery of a youth-focused violence prevention and community first aid programme for children and young people aged 11-24 years old. The programme will support young people who may be vulnerable to serious violence, exploitation, anti-social behaviour, exclusion, or wider social harms. The commissioned service will provide practical, scenario-based first aid training to demonstrate and educate young people about the dangers of carrying knives and weapons whilst also supporting confidence-building, resilience, safety awareness and positive engagement activities. The Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence (RISE) initiative is a programme by the DfE that is central to the goal of raising standards for all children in all schools across the country. RISE forms part of the government’s Opportunity Mission which focuses on breaking down the barriers to opportunity and ending the link between background and success. The RISE grant will provide mandatory targeted intervention to schools that Ofsted have identified as needing to improve which will act as a catalyst for collaboration and improvement. Where appropriate, RISE teams will arrange for a high-quality organisation to work with a school, via its responsible body, with grants available to fund supporting activity.

Skills Bursaries provide grants of up to £1,000 for people seeking to grow their expertise in community heritage work. Open to applicants at any stage of their personal or professional journey, these bursaries can be used for training, mentoring, attending workshops, or other professional development activities related to heritage and community engagement to be determined by you. Offered on a rolling basis, Skills Bursaries are designed to be accessible and responsive, helping to build confidence and capacity across the sector—particularly among those who may not have had access to such opportunities before.

The School-based Nursery (SBN) Capital Grant 2027 to 2030 (phase 3) is a local authority-led delivery model. Local authorities are responsible for developing and submitting multi-year funding proposals that set out plans for creating or expanding SBN provision in their area. These proposals can include projects across state-funded primary schools, maintained nursery schools (MNS), and Best Start Family Hub (BSFH) sites. This is the third phase of the school-based nurseries programme. It builds on the foundations of phase 1 (SBN Capital Grant 2024 to 2025) and phase 2 (SBN Capital Grant 2025 to 2026) and has an increased focus on supporting disadvantaged families to access early years provision.

The project will engage an experienced community facilitator to work collaboratively with children, exploring the lives and legacies of Giant Murphy (Patrick Murphy) and "Honest" John Martin. Through music, drama, visual art and storytelling, children will explore and re tell Rostrevor's history in their own voices, connecting past and present while celebrating the town's cultural heritage.
