Expected Outcome: The expected outcomes of this topic are : Functional demonstrators of working AI chip prototypes (PCB-level) designed by EU fabless companies and physically integrated with their system partners. Validation of AI chip solutions on a common EU evaluation platform (provided by the Topic X.B consortium), delivering comparative evidence on key performance indicators. A shortlist of European AI chip solutions awarded the AI Compute Excellence label and qualified to proceed to full rack development under Topic X.A2.

Expected Outcome: This topic is the first phase of a two-phase competitive structure supported by Horizon Europe, implemented via a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) in close collaboration with the European Investment Bank (EIB). Phase 1 (this topic): A CSA focused on readiness-analysis in terms of exploitation and investments, benchmarking the commercial viability of quantum enabled navigation systems. The aim is to deliver concrete outputs that improve the conditions for use of the supported projects through credible technical, industrialisation and financial roadmaps, validated against investor requirements (e.g. EIB, InvestEU). Activities also include analyses of investor-readiness and supply-chain sovereignty. Objective: The objective of this call is to develop dual-use transport infrastructure on the TEN-T and the military mobility networks. Scope: In accordance with Article 9(2), point (c), and Article 12 of the CEF Regulation, support will be provided to dual-use projects, works and/or studies, addressing both civilian and defence needs. As provided in Article 12(1) of the CEF Regulation, dual-use projects must be located on the TEN-T and on the EU military mobility network established by the Council in November 2018, last updated in March 2025 [1]. Priority will be given to projects located on the four EU military mobility priority corridors and projects located in two or more Member States [2]. As provided in Article 12(1), point (c) of the CEF Regulation, such projects are to take into account the infrastructure requirements applicable to certain categories of dual-use infrastructure actions, as set out in Implementing Regulation 2021/1328 [3]. Objective: The objective of this call is to develop inland waterway transport infrastructure projects on the TEN-T core network. Scope: Works on inland waterways related to: Upgrade of waterways and related infrastructure such as locks and , weirs/dams , in order to achieve stable or improved navigation conditions, performance and/or more capacity for the passage of vessels or to ensure good navigation status; Creation of new waterways and related infrastructure (locks, weirs/dams, bridges).

Expected Impact: As indicated in section 1 the Multi-annual Work Programme, it is expected that the financial assistance contributes to the further development and implementation of PCIs and PMIs helping to achieve the broader TEN-E policy objectives and the CEF energy policy objectives of: further integration of an efficient and competitive internal energy market, interoperability of networks across borders and sectors, facilitating decarbonisation of the economy, promoting energy efficiency and ensuring security of supply. Objective: The objective of this call is to modernise maritime transport infrastructure on the TEN-T network and reducing the environmental impact of transport through efficient short sea shipping links and greening of inland shipping. Scope: Only works projects related to: Projects supporting the deployment of Onshore-power supply and charging infrastructure in TEN-T maritime and inland ports in accordance with Regulation 2023/1804 [1]. The fitting or retrofitting of the energy systems of inland waterway vessels and short sea shipping vessels (including ferries) [2], with electric, hybrid, H2, ammonia, methanol and biomethane technologies, substitute sources of energy [3] and the installation of wind assisted propulsion systems (WAPS).
