Liverpool City Council, through Liverpool Virtual School, is seeking a provider to deliver a psychology-informed workforce development and consultation service that supports children in care, previously looked-after children, and children with a social worker. The service will provide trauma-informed and attachment-aware consultation, training, reflective supervision, and strategic leadership support to schools, social care professionals, carers, and Virtual School staff. The focus is on improving educational planning, inclusive practice, workforce capability, and multi-agency collaboration through psychologically informed approaches that strengthen understanding of children's needs, behaviour, wellbeing and engagement in learning. The service is educational rather than clinical, and no therapy, diagnosis or treatment is required under the contract. The contract is valued at £75,600 per annum, with an initial term of 3 years and an option to extend for a further 12 months, giving a potential total contract value of up to £302,400 (inclusive of the extension period). The Life Sciences Transformational R&D Investment Fund Pilot offers capital grants to support large-scale R&D projects in the UK life sciences sector (eligible projects must exceed £100 million in total costs). It aims to boost research and development within the UK's Life Sciences sector by supporting large-scale investments focused on innovation and strengthening health resilience, as well as projects with the potential to generate economic benefits. This fund complements the separate Life Sciences Innovative Manufacturing Fund (LSIMF).

Expected Impact: Projects funded under this call are expected to deliver tangible industrial outputs that demonstrably advance the readiness and affordability of future governmental Ka-band user terminals for IRIS2 and GOVSATCOM services. Expected outputs include, for example: qualified production processes, calibrated sub-assemblies, pilot-run units, validated manufacturing equipment chains or manufacturing cost models. Purely analytical deliverables (studies, design reports) are not sufficient as primary outputs but may complement the above. Where relevant, outputs shall include documented design assumptions, interface parameters or process specifications enabling adaptation to different terminal configurations with limited re-engineering, so as to support uptake in follow-on integration, pilot deployment and scale-up activities. Expected Outcome: Objectives and profile of the ERC Plus Grant Principal Investigator The ERC Plus Grant supports outstanding Principal Investigators who address a major scientific challenge. Applications for ERC Plus Grants should be for projects that could not be carried out with a regular ERC grant. Applicants should explain how the proposed project aims go beyond those of a regular ERC project, for example, because they have a vision to transform their field or open a new field of research. Scholars at all career stages can apply for an ERC Plus Grant if they have an outstanding record of scientific achievement at the forefront of their field. Their intellectual leadership will be evaluated in comparison to peers at their own career stage.
