Annual Program Statement for U.S. Presentation at International Architecture Biennales

The National Endowment for the Arts’ State & Regional Partnership Agreement grants are awarded to the nation’s 56 state and jurisdictional arts agencies (SAAs), and the six regional arts organizations (RAOs) whose members comprise SAAs.

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Research is accepting applications for the Scholarly Editions and Translations program. The purpose of this program is to support collaborative teams who edit, annotate, and translate foundational humanities texts that are vital to generating new scholarship but are not available in adequate editions or translations. This year’s competition is limited to projects on American history and culture or Western civilization.

The purpose of this Program Solicitation is to select an organization (“Cooperator”) to assist the NEA with the 2027 NEA National Heritage Fellowships Awards program. The agency anticipates that the Cooperator will coordinate a range of events, including an awards ceremony, showcase(s) featuring the 2027 fellows, video vignettes about each fellow, participant travel, and associated activities. This award will be made as a cooperative agreement. A cooperative agreement is a type of award in which the federal government will be substantially involved in the project undertaken by the award recipient (known as a Cooperator). Eligible applicants include nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3), U.S. organizations; units of state or local government; or federally recognized tribal communities or tribes.

The program supports groups of two or more scholars increasing humanistic knowledge through the preparation of a manuscript for print publication, the creation of a scholarly digital project, or the planning of an international collaboration. Projects must pursue significant research questions and lead toward an interpretive product. This year’s competition is limited to projects on American history and culture or Western civilization.

The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy Amman ann ounces an open competition to implement a program titled Reel American: The Road to the Olympic Rings. Reel American is a 21-month public diplomacy film program designed to showcase American excellence in sports and build excitement ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. Beginning in October 2026 and continuing through June 2028, the program will host one film screening per month, showcasing classic American sports films that highlight the nation's rich athletic history and tradition of competitive excellence. The program targets 1,000 youth participants, ages 16–25, engaging the next generation of global leaders, athletes, and cultural ambassadors at a pivotal moment in their personal and professional development. Through curated screenings and accompanying discussions, participants will gain insight into American values such as teamwork, perseverance, and competition. This program directly advances U.S. foreign policy priorities by celebrating America's proven capacity to host large-scale international events and by reinforcing the United States' legacy of sports excellence on the world stage. As Los Angeles prepares to welcome the world in 2028, Reel American promotes a positive narrative of American achievement and lays the groundwork for successful public engagement throughout the Olympic cycle. The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Cultural Programs Division (ECA/PE/C/CU) seeks to advance international understanding of American values by exposing foreign audiences to innovative and compelling works of art that reflect promote American values and foster international dialogue on shared global challenges.

The United States Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ Office of International Visitors (ECA/PE/V) announces an open competition for approximately five cooperative agreements to support the staff expenses and overhead costs of the FY 2027 International Visitor Leadership Program’s (IVLP) National Program Agencies (NPAs). Launched in 1940, the IVLP is the Department of State’s foundational professional exchange program. The IVLP advances America First national security priorities and builds long-term relationships between Americans and international leaders in government, business, academia, and other fields. Recipients design and implement customized short-term visits to the United States for current and emerging leaders from around the world. These visits support U.S. foreign policy goals and reflect the participants’ professional interests. Eligible recipients will have expertise in foreign policy, experience in professional exchange programming, and the ability to provide tailored projects for participants from all countries. The Fulbright U.S. and Visiting Scholar Programs annually provide approximately 970 awards to U.S. scholars and professionals to lecture and/or conduct research overseas and approximately 1,025 awards to visiting (non-U.S.) scholars to lecture and/or conduct research in the United States. In addition to the core U.S. and Visiting Scholar Program components, the agreement also includes, but is not limited to, the Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program (S-I-R); Global Scholars Program; International Education Administrator Seminars (IEA) seminars; Fulbright Outreach Lecturing Fund (OLF); research-based, cohort programs to address priority policy areas; and other special awards that align with U.S. government priorities.
