NEA Arts and Artifacts Domestic Indemnity Program 1, FY2027 (12/26)

The National Endowment for the Arts’ State & Regional Partnership Agreement grants are awarded to the nation’s 56 state and jurisdictional arts agencies (SAAs), and the six regional arts organizations (RAOs) whose members comprise SAAs.

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Research is accepting applications for the Scholarly Editions and Translations program. The purpose of this program is to support collaborative teams who edit, annotate, and translate foundational humanities texts that are vital to generating new scholarship but are not available in adequate editions or translations. This year’s competition is limited to projects on American history and culture or Western civilization.

The purpose of this Program Solicitation is to select an organization (“Cooperator”) to assist the NEA with the 2027 NEA National Heritage Fellowships Awards program. The agency anticipates that the Cooperator will coordinate a range of events, including an awards ceremony, showcase(s) featuring the 2027 fellows, video vignettes about each fellow, participant travel, and associated activities. This award will be made as a cooperative agreement. A cooperative agreement is a type of award in which the federal government will be substantially involved in the project undertaken by the award recipient (known as a Cooperator). Eligible applicants include nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3), U.S. organizations; units of state or local government; or federally recognized tribal communities or tribes.

The program supports groups of two or more scholars increasing humanistic knowledge through the preparation of a manuscript for print publication, the creation of a scholarly digital project, or the planning of an international collaboration. Projects must pursue significant research questions and lead toward an interpretive product. This year’s competition is limited to projects on American history and culture or Western civilization.

The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy Amman ann ounces an open competition to implement a program titled Reel American: The Road to the Olympic Rings. Reel American is a 21-month public diplomacy film program designed to showcase American excellence in sports and build excitement ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. Beginning in October 2026 and continuing through June 2028, the program will host one film screening per month, showcasing classic American sports films that highlight the nation's rich athletic history and tradition of competitive excellence. The program targets 1,000 youth participants, ages 16–25, engaging the next generation of global leaders, athletes, and cultural ambassadors at a pivotal moment in their personal and professional development. Through curated screenings and accompanying discussions, participants will gain insight into American values such as teamwork, perseverance, and competition. This program directly advances U.S. foreign policy priorities by celebrating America's proven capacity to host large-scale international events and by reinforcing the United States' legacy of sports excellence on the world stage. As Los Angeles prepares to welcome the world in 2028, Reel American promotes a positive narrative of American achievement and lays the groundwork for successful public engagement throughout the Olympic cycle. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism solicits applications for an R01 Clinical Trial Optional mechanism focusing on alcohol health services. This NOFO will broadly focus on closing the treatment gap for individuals with alcohol use disorder (AUD); within this focus, there are five major areas of emphasis: (1) increasing access to treatment for AUD, (2) making treatment for AUD more appealing, (3) examining cost structures and insurance systems, (4) conducting studies on dissemination and implementation of existing evidence-based approaches to treating AUD, and (5) reducing health disparities as a means of addressing the treatment gap in AUD for health disparity populations.
