The Great British Energy (GBE) Supply Chain Fund: Offshore Wind and Networks will award up to £300 million in capital grant funding to build UK manufacturing capacity for key constrained components in offshore wind and enabling electricity networks sectors. Funding must be used to construct new or extend existing manufacturing facilities in the UK. The application window will close 10 December 2026 (or earlier if the Fund's budget is fully allocated).

The Depot Charging Scheme supports uptake of zero-emission HGVs, vans and coaches by part-funding the installation of charging infrastructure at fleet depots. The first application window ran from 25 March 2026 to 30 June 2026, and will fund 70% of charge point and civil costs, up to £1 million across all sites. The next window is expected to open from 28 October 2026 to 29 January 2027 for projects which may begin from April 2027 and must be delivered by 31 March 2028. Terms and grant rates for this phase are still to be confirmed.

The UK Government's Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) programme is inviting proposals from qualified suppliers or consortia to deliver technical assistance to the government of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is establishing the foundations for participation in high-integrity carbon markets, including Article 6, CORSIA and voluntary carbon markets. While progress has been made through the establishment of a carbon market framework and supporting governance arrangements, further support is needed to operationalise these systems across government, strengthen institutional coordination, and enable Bangladesh to use carbon markets to support delivery of its NDC 3.0 unconditional mitigation targets. The assignment will provide targeted technical assistance and capacity building to strengthen Bangladesh's carbon market governance, authorisation processes, MRV, reporting and institutional readiness. Working with relevant government agencies, including MoEFCC, DoE, the Power Division, Ministry of Finance and other line ministries, the project will support practical implementation of carbon market rules, CORSIA readiness, UNFCCC reporting requirements, and inclusive, high-integrity market participation. Key outputs are expected to include governance and coordination tools, an authorisation and safeguards toolkit, CORSIA readiness and reporting support, a structured government capacity-building programme, and sector readiness briefs identifying future carbon market investment opportunities. The project aims to strengthen Bangladesh's ability to participate in high-integrity carbon markets, unlock climate finance, improve institutional capability, and support implementation of national climate targets. The Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES) provides funding to public, private and third sector applicants, to support improvements to existing district heating or communal heating projects in England and Wales that are operating sub-optimally and resulting in poor outcomes for customers and operators. Projects can apply to HNES for either revenue or capital grant funding: Revenue grants – grants to fund procurement or mobilisation of external third-party support to carry out Optimisation Studies. These studies will assess heat network projects to identify causes of sub-optimal performance and recommend costed intervention or improvement measures. Capital grants – grants to part-fund the delivery (installation) of eligible intervention/improvement measures.

The U.S. Wildland Fire Service Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP) is seeking proposals from current master and doctoral students enrolled at colleges or universities within the US in the field of wildland fire and related physical, biological, and social sciences to apply for a Fire Leaders And Managers, Emerging Scientists (FLAMES) award.  The purpose of a FLAMES award is to enhance student exposure to the management and policy relevance of their research, to provide opportunities for experiential learning and exposure to fire management practices, and to foster peer-learning, mentorship and career development. Successful applicants will be expected to meet the following program requirements during the project period: 1.     Complete a research project that supplements the student’s current thesis or dissertation research plan. 2.     Gain practical experience and exposure to wildland fire practitioners, through participation in prescribed fire, wildfire, or other activity related to fire management (management activities relevant to the student’s area of expertise). 3.     Attend regularly scheduled JFSP-organized virtual meetings designed to build a student cohort, share information, and introduce students to training and engagement opportunities. 4.     Participate in at least one in-person event to exchange science with practitioners (i.e., workshop, training, field tour) and develop at least one management-relevant product (e.g., webinar, factsheet) that describes the management relevance of their research. Proposals must describe a new, unfunded wildland fire research project that extends ongoing or planned research that is the subject of a thesis or dissertation that has been approved by the graduate student’s advisor or advisory committee. Research projects must be directly related to the mission and goals of JFSP to be considered. Applicants are encouraged to search the JFSP website ( www.firescience.gov ) to learn more about the scope of JFSP funded research. In addition, proposals must directly address management- or policy-related questions related to one or more of the following topic areas : ·      Fuels management and prescribed fire ·      Changing fire environment ·      Emissions and air quality ·      Fire effects and post-fire recovery ·      Human dimensions of fire management Proposals on topics not listed above will not be reviewed.
