Southwater Parish Council owns and operates various open spaces and woodland across the Parish of Southwater. It is the intention to undertake a contract for the works identified as scheduled in the independent Tree Survey conducted in July 2026. The successful contractor will be responsible for carrying out the works to the specification outlined in the documents forming part of the Invitation to Tender.

AMS will award these funds competitively to at least one eligible organization that meets program requirements and whose expertise is consistent with the purpose of the grant program. The selected grant recipient(s) will provide management, oversight, consultation and expertise necessary to advance the purpose and activities of the program, primarily through a subaward program to support cold storage within the middle of the supply chain. These equipment investments will be made through subawards to food banks, faith-based organizations, and other public or private nonprofit organizations that provide nutrition assistance, such as prepared meals or food for use at home, to people with low-income or challenging financial circumstances.

Expected Outcome: This topic aims at directly engaging and supporting public authorities and other relevant socio-economic actors (e.g. farmers, landowners, aquaculture producers, tourist operators, fishers, businesses, water management authorities) in addressing aquatic pollution and biodiversity loss, thereby demonstrating and accelerating the transitions needed for achieving one or several objectives of the Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters”. The direct involvement of relevant authorities and stakeholders in the consortium is strongly encouraged. Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of Integrated Sexual Health Services. The Contract Notice invites offers under the Competitive Process of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Regulations. Swindon Borough Council has a statutory duty to commission open-access sexual and reproductive health services. This will be a single-lot model delivering clinical services, digital access, postal testing, Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) in GPs, outreach and prevention. This model is the preferred option following a structured Preliminary Market Engagement exercise and reflects the shift toward digital-first, outcomes-based, prevention-focused sexual health systems. The initial contract term will be for 60 months with an option to extend for a further 48 months (2 periods of 24 months) for a potential total contract term of 9 years. The guaranteed contract value is £13.1m across the initial 5-year contract term and £23.58m across the potential total 9-year contract term. For transparency, this value is presented differently to the indicative value used during Preliminary Market Engagement (PME), where estimated Out of Area (OOA) income was included within the total contract value. Out of Area (OOA) income (estimated at c.£350,000 per annum) is excluded from this value, as it is non-guaranteed, activity-dependent income and not funded through the Swindon Public Health Grant. OOA income, in line with national sexual health cross-charging guidance, will be retained by the provider and mandatorily reinvested to support the delivery of the commissioned service. The exclusion of estimated OOA income does not represent a reduction in the anticipated overall value of service income available to the provider; rather, it reflects the separation of guaranteed commissioner funding from non-guaranteed activity-based income.

The U.S. Wildland Fire Service Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP) is seeking proposals from current master and doctoral students enrolled at colleges or universities within the US in the field of wildland fire and related physical, biological, and social sciences to apply for a Fire Leaders And Managers, Emerging Scientists (FLAMES) award.  The purpose of a FLAMES award is to enhance student exposure to the management and policy relevance of their research, to provide opportunities for experiential learning and exposure to fire management practices, and to foster peer-learning, mentorship and career development. Successful applicants will be expected to meet the following program requirements during the project period: 1.     Complete a research project that supplements the student’s current thesis or dissertation research plan. 2.     Gain practical experience and exposure to wildland fire practitioners, through participation in prescribed fire, wildfire, or other activity related to fire management (management activities relevant to the student’s area of expertise). 3.     Attend regularly scheduled JFSP-organized virtual meetings designed to build a student cohort, share information, and introduce students to training and engagement opportunities. 4.     Participate in at least one in-person event to exchange science with practitioners (i.e., workshop, training, field tour) and develop at least one management-relevant product (e.g., webinar, factsheet) that describes the management relevance of their research. Proposals must describe a new, unfunded wildland fire research project that extends ongoing or planned research that is the subject of a thesis or dissertation that has been approved by the graduate student’s advisor or advisory committee. Research projects must be directly related to the mission and goals of JFSP to be considered.
