The Great British Energy (GBE) Supply Chain Fund: Offshore Wind and Networks will award up to £300 million in capital grant funding to build UK manufacturing capacity for key constrained components in offshore wind and enabling electricity networks sectors. Funding must be used to construct new or extend existing manufacturing facilities in the UK. The application window will close 10 December 2026 (or earlier if the Fund's budget is fully allocated).

The Depot Charging Scheme supports uptake of zero-emission HGVs, vans and coaches by part-funding the installation of charging infrastructure at fleet depots. The first application window ran from 25 March 2026 to 30 June 2026, and will fund 70% of charge point and civil costs, up to £1 million across all sites. The next window is expected to open from 28 October 2026 to 29 January 2027 for projects which may begin from April 2027 and must be delivered by 31 March 2028. Terms and grant rates for this phase are still to be confirmed.

Following the reopening of mining permits in 2026, Madagascar has an opportunity to shape how new mining investments source power. While mining and environmental regulations are in place, renewable energy integration is not yet embedded within licensing and permitting requirements. The assignment will support the Government of Madagascar to design, adopt and implement a Green Mining Energy Framework that embeds renewable energy requirements into mining licensing, environmental permitting and ESIA processes. Key outputs include a diagnostic and design options package, a Green Mining Energy Framework and supporting guidance for government adoption, and an implementation and compliance package with templates, monitoring tools and capacity-building support. The project aims to reduce future diesel dependence in the mining sector and support lower-emission mining development in Madagascar. The UK Government's Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) programme is inviting proposals from qualified suppliers or consortia to deliver technical assistance to the government of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is establishing the foundations for participation in high-integrity carbon markets, including Article 6, CORSIA and voluntary carbon markets. While progress has been made through the establishment of a carbon market framework and supporting governance arrangements, further support is needed to operationalise these systems across government, strengthen institutional coordination, and enable Bangladesh to use carbon markets to support delivery of its NDC 3.0 unconditional mitigation targets. The assignment will provide targeted technical assistance and capacity building to strengthen Bangladesh's carbon market governance, authorisation processes, MRV, reporting and institutional readiness. Working with relevant government agencies, including MoEFCC, DoE, the Power Division, Ministry of Finance and other line ministries, the project will support practical implementation of carbon market rules, CORSIA readiness, UNFCCC reporting requirements, and inclusive, high-integrity market participation. Key outputs are expected to include governance and coordination tools, an authorisation and safeguards toolkit, CORSIA readiness and reporting support, a structured government capacity-building programme, and sector readiness briefs identifying future carbon market investment opportunities.
