EKFB seek EOI's from interested parties with the appropriate experience and resources for the supply of 8 wheel tipper wagons to support the delivery of our C23 HS2 project. The 3 areas for delivery are North Chilterns to Aylesbury (NC2A), Calvert to Greatworth (C2G) and Greatworth to Southam (G2S). EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope of the works includes 15 viaducts, 6.9km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 81 bridges and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation. FBRS JV is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers capable of providing a road-rail trailer solution to transport and handle 216m long welded rail sections across tracked and trackless environments, including tunnels. The solution may be bespoke, modified from an existing asset, or based on a proven product. It must be capable of safely transporting at least eight 216m rail sections per load, operating on both road and rail, negotiating 5,000m radius curves, maximum 160mm canted sections can't deficiency, 3.50% maximum gradients, and achieving speeds above 10km/h, subject to supplier technical evidence. Suppliers should be able to demonstrate relevant capability and experience in road-rail plant, specialist rail handling equipment, design/modification, certification, testing, operation, and maintenance. FBRS JV is also interested in solutions that support reuse, asset repurposing, and lower-carbon outcomes.

This grant provides lorry parking operators with support to improve HGV driver facilities, including improvements to welfare facilities, driver and site security, and HGV parking amenities and capacity.

Kier Infrastructure are looking to engage with experienced and qualified contractors for the Bored Piling package for Highgill North and South Portal Structures on the M6 Lune Gorge Scheme. The package is inclusive of, but not limited to, the supply and installation of all permanent and temporary works for the delivery of 48no. permanent and 2no. temporary 1050mm dia., 12.1m long bored piles along the B6257 which resides beneath the M6 Carriageway. Main constraints to consider are: working headroom ranging from 6-10m, working platform on 1:10 gradient, proximity to Network Rail asset, working adjacent to a live B-road. We will use the Build UK Common Assessment Criteria (CAS) to ensure a consistent minimum business competence.
