The Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) is a Federal formula grant program that provides financial assistance to States, and U.S. Territories to reduce the number and severity of crashes, injuries, and fatalities and hazardous material incidents involving commercial motor vehicles.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the opportunity to apply for competitive awards totaling up to $10 million in Public Transportation Innovation Program (49 U.S.C. 5312) funds for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Bus Safety, Accessibility, and Innovation Research Program under Assistance Listing Number 20.530. As required by Federal public transportation law, funds will be awarded competitively to up to two projects to develop and prototype innovative and widely deployable concepts that are intended to make existing and new buses safer for their operators and vulnerable road users, and safer and more accessible for their passengers.

HM Government of Gibraltar invites tenders for the supply and delivery of mid-size public service buses for use by the Gibraltar Bus Company Ltd. The Contracting Authority intends to purchase an initial six (6) vehicles following contract award, with the option to purchase additional vehicles during the contract period, up to a maximum aggregate quantity of twenty-four (24) vehicles over ten (10) years, subject to operational requirements, available funding and the terms of the Contract. Vehicles may be offered using electric, hybrid, HVO-compatible diesel or hydrogen fuel-cell electric propulsion and must comply fully with the technical, operational, accessibility, passenger-capacity and route-performance requirements contained in the Contract Documents. The requirement includes associated spare parts, consumables, diagnostic and specialist equipment, warranties, training, technical support and, where applicable, charging or refuelling infrastructure. The contract will be awarded to a single Economic Operator on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. Evaluation will include life-cycle costs, vehicle quality and performance, passenger capacity and configuration, delivery timescales and environmental performance. Economic Operators must download and review all Request Documents and complete the online questionnaire and pricing document. Expected Outcome: This topic is the first phase of a two-phase competitive structure supported by Horizon Europe, implemented via a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) in close collaboration with the European Investment Bank (EIB). Phase 1 (this topic): A CSA focused on readiness-analysis in terms of exploitation and investments, benchmarking the commercial viability of quantum enabled navigation systems. The aim is to deliver concrete outputs that improve the conditions for use of the supported projects through credible technical, industrialisation and financial roadmaps, validated against investor requirements (e.g. EIB, InvestEU). Activities also include analyses of investor-readiness and supply-chain sovereignty. A shortlist of European AI chip solutions awarded the AI Compute Excellence label and qualified to proceed to full rack development under Topic X.A2.
