Neutral-Atom Platform Technologies
→Expected Outcome: This action aims to establish European leadership in neutral-atom quantum simulation and digital quantum computing by delivering: Fully programmable industry-ready quantum simulators based on 10.000 neutral atoms in a scalable architecture, accessible via cloud platforms, and with the possibility of integrating them into high-performance computing environments. Fully programmable platform for neutral-atom quantum computing capable of both analogue quantum operations and gate-based computing with 1.000 physical qubits and a clear path to further scalability to 10.000 physical qubits. Coherence time of the order of hundreds of interaction times and infidelity of operations below 1%. Demonstration of quantum simulation and/or computing operating beyond classical computability, validated through benchmarking with classical methods. New real-world applications across science and industry (at least two) (e.g: in the energy and health sectors) The software stack for these applications, including enhanced software for verification, algorithm implementation, and user programming interfaces. Demonstration of the full quantum stack – including quantum control, electronic…

→The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) is publishing a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications for the Impact of Genomic Variation on Function (IGVF) Data and Coordinating Center (DACC). The DACC will serve as the coordinating center for the IGVF Consortium and will be responsible for expanding and further developing a broadly accessible set of resources, including a data portal and a comprehensive and searchable catalog of measured and predicted variant impacts. The DACC will also seek input on the design of the catalog from the broader research community, organize and facilitate consortium activities, and seek opportunities to work with other programs and consortia. As a member of IGVF, the DACC will work with all consortium members to maximize the consortium's overall scientific impact and contribute to accelerating understanding of genomic variation.

→South West London Procurement Partnership (SWLPP), on behalf of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust (ESTH) (the "Authority") invites tenders from experienced and qualified organizations for the provision of a fully managed renal satellite dialysis satellite unit located in the Crawley area, providing all the facilities, equipment, consumables and renal nursing services required to deliver a fully managed renal dialysis satellite unit. The objective of this competitive tender exercise is to select a single provider capable of delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions in accordance with the specifications detailed in the Tender Pack. A detailed Specification of Requirements is included in the Tender Documentation. Please note, the current Crawley renal dialysis satellite unit is a joint venture between Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust (ESTH) and University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (UHSx). Patients from both Trusts currently receive treatment at the Crawley unit. At the time of the pre-market engagement, both Trusts fully intended reprocuring the Crawley unit jointly. However, it has since been agreed that each Trust will independently procure a solution for their own cohort of patients from the Crawley area. This tender will only include activity numbers for patients under the treatment of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust (ESTH). Current and estimated numbers will be included in the Tender Documentation. Tender$26.7MCloses 2026-12-02GBHealthNational Center for Construction Safety and Health Research and Translation (U54)
→NIOSH is encouraging the submission of an application from qualified organizations for a National Center for Construction Safety and Health Research and Translation. Applicants are encouraged to propose multidisciplinary approaches and coordination for impactful applied and intervention research, hazard identification, and controls; develop partnerships for implementing prevention and intervention activities; and serve as a leader in research translation and research-to-practice for the protection of construction workers in the U.S. The Center will accomplish these goals by integrating and advancing research, research translation, best practices, policy and guidance, and capacity building. Center work should consider the NIOSH strategic plan and NORA construction research objectives. Center structure should take advantage of diverse scientific resources and focus on national worker safety and health issues. Centers should emphasize the creation and implementation of evidence-based solutions that address important construction industry safety and health problems. Collaborations with other academic institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other occupational safety and health-focused groups are expected. Applicants must concisely describe the occupational health burden of important safety and health issues in the construction industry and discuss how focused research and outreach activities will help alleviate the burden and reduce numbers. Applicants should also clearly articulate the anticipated impacts of the Center’s proposed work, both during the project period and beyond.
