Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust ("the Trust") invites suitably qualified and experienced organisations to submit a tender for the replacement of an existing CT scanner and all associated enabling works within an operational acute hospital environment. Tenderers shall carefully review all documents issued as part of this procurement and ensure their submission demonstrates a clear understanding of the project requirements, statutory obligations and the constraints associated with working within a live healthcare facility. The anticipated scope of works includes, but is not limited to: Removal and disposal of the existing CT scanner. Installation, commissioning and handover of the new CT scanner. Mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) alterations required to support the new installation. New ventilation systems and associated roof-mounted plant where required. Electrical infrastructure upgrades, including LV distribution, containment, lighting, emergency lighting, UPS (where applicable) and associated controls. Builder's works, structural alterations, fire stopping and architectural finishes. Installation and commissioning of associated fire alarm, access control and communication systems. Testing, commissioning, validation, certification, training and provision of Operation & Maintenance manuals and as-built information. The successful Contractor shall be expected to deliver the works in accordance with all relevant legislation and guidance, including but not limited to: Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs). Health Building Notes (HBNs). Building Regulations. Building Safety Act 2022 (where applicable). Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. British Standards and all relevant statutory requirements. Trust policies relating to infection prevention and control, permit-to-work systems and operational continuity. Tenderers shall demonstrate how they will: Maintain continuity of clinical services throughout the works. Minimise disruption to adjacent departments and hospital operations. Safely manage service interruptions and planned isolations. Coordinate all commissioning activities with the Trust and equipment manufacturer. Manage infection prevention and control measures, logistics, noise, vibration and dust within a live hospital environment.
