The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the opportunity to apply for competitive awards totaling up to $10 million in Public Transportation Innovation Program (49 U.S.C. 5312) funds for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Bus Safety, Accessibility, and Innovation Research Program under Assistance Listing Number 20.530. As required by Federal public transportation law, funds will be awarded competitively to up to two projects to develop and prototype innovative and widely deployable concepts that are intended to make existing and new buses safer for their operators and vulnerable road users, and safer and more accessible for their passengers. 

The United States Marine Highway Program (USMHP), codified at 46 U.S.C. 55601, was originally established by Section 1121 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 to reduce landside congestion through the designation of Marine Highway Routes. The USMHP statute authorizes the U.S. Department of Transportation (“Department” or “DOT”) to make grants to implement Projects or components of Projects that 1) provide a coordinated and capable alternative to landside transportation; mitigate or relieve landside congestion; promote Marine Highway Transportation; or use vessels documented under 46 U.S.C. chapter 121; and 2) develop, expand, or promote Marine Highway Transportation or shipper use of Marine Highway Transportation

HM Government of Gibraltar invites tenders for the supply and delivery of mid-size public service buses for use by the Gibraltar Bus Company Ltd. The Contracting Authority intends to purchase an initial six (6) vehicles following contract award, with the option to purchase additional vehicles during the contract period, up to a maximum aggregate quantity of twenty-four (24) vehicles over ten (10) years, subject to operational requirements, available funding and the terms of the Contract. The requirement includes associated spare parts, consumables, diagnostic and specialist equipment, warranties, training, technical support and, where applicable, charging or refuelling infrastructure. The contract will be awarded to a single Economic Operator on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. Evaluation will include life-cycle costs, vehicle quality and performance, passenger capacity and configuration, delivery timescales and environmental performance. Economic Operators must download and review all Request Documents and complete the online questionnaire and pricing document. Tender submissions, supporting evidence and all required attachments must be submitted electronically through the HM Government of Gibraltar Supplier Portal (https://hmgogsupplier.gibraltar.gov.gi/) by the deadline stated in this notice. Clarification requests must also be submitted through the portal's messaging facility. Additional information: Gibraltar does not participate in the Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA) under the World Trade Organization (WTO). HM Government of Gibraltar therefore reserves the right to consider only those bids from eligible tenderers in Gibraltar, the UK, or a country or territory covered by a trade agreement extending to Gibraltar that contains relevant procurement provisions.

Expected Outcome: The expected outcomes of this topic are : Functional demonstrators of working AI chip prototypes (PCB-level) designed by EU fabless companies and physically integrated with their system partners. Validation of AI chip solutions on a common EU evaluation platform (provided by the Topic X.B consortium), delivering comparative evidence on key performance indicators. A shortlist of European AI chip solutions awarded the AI Compute Excellence label and qualified to proceed to full rack development under Topic X.A2.
