Kent County Council, on behalf of the Kent and Medway Suicide Prevention Programme and in partnership with the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board, is seeking market engagement to inform the future procurement of a Specialist Bereavement Support Service for people affected by suicide across Kent and Medway. The service will provide timely, accessible and trauma-informed emotional and practical support to individuals impacted by suicide, including family members, friends, colleagues, witnesses and professionals. The future provider will be expected to deliver a flexible countywide service through a combination of face-to-face, telephone and virtual support, working closely with health, community and voluntary sector partners. The contract is anticipated to commence on 1 April 2027 for an initial period of three years, with the option to extend for up to two further years. Kent County Council welcomes engagement from organisations interested in helping to shape the future service and deliver innovative, high-quality support for residents affected by suicide bereavement.

The occupational health specialist will be involved in the design stage to promote awareness and ensure occupational health risks are identified and eliminated/controlled during the design stage. Scope includes: 1) Occupational Health Service (OHS) provision for all Colas Rail's Staff Providing the Works. The OHS is accredited by the Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service (SEQOHS), or independently audited, as agreed with the Project Manager, where accreditation by SEQOHS is not possible; 2) The Supplier provides a suitably qualified and experienced clinical occupational health professional in accordance with below list (point 3), to provide oversight and co-ordination of the OHS provision. The Supplier submits the name, relevant qualifications and experience of the proposed clinical occupational health professional to the Project Manager for acceptance. 3) Clinical and support staff meet the minimum qualifications as listed in the OHS Scope document. 4) The Supplier ensures a suitably qualified occupational clinical health professional attends and participates in a Health Leadership Forum (HLF). The Tree Health Pilot (THP) scheme is testing different ways of slowing the spread of pests and diseases affecting trees in England. It expands on support available through the Countryside Stewardship Woodland Tree Health grant. The THP supports owners and managers of trees in woodland or trees outside woodland to deal with tree health issues. Payments are available for farmers in England for vet visits and diagnostic testing to reduce endemic diseases, improve productivity, and raise welfare standards across herds and flocks. It is part of the wider Animal Health and Welfare Pathway. The grant provides direct payments to livestock keepers to cover the cost of these vet visits.
